What is a bay window and what are its advantages?

If the room is quite large, you can use fabrics in vivid colors, if the space is smaller it is worth reaching for light colors beiges, creams, whites, so as to optically enlarge the room. It is worth keeping in mind that the color scheme of fabrics is closely related to the style in which we decorate our home. For example, for the Hampton style, colors of light beige, pigeon-blue will fit perfectly, while in the Urban Jungle style, green will blend in perfectly. When choosing window arrangements, especially those in the bay window, it is safest to reach for curtains, blinds or drapes sewn exactly to size. A bay window is a specific window arranged in relation to each other at different angles, so it is worth getting a window composition sewn exactly to fit our windows. A wide range of patterns, colors and textures of fabrics provides unlimited possibilities for decorating a bay window at home.
If you decide to decorate the window in the form of Roman blinds, it is worth considering whether to additionally use decorative curtains. Curtains for the living room placed on the outer sides of bay window will perfectly optically enlarge the room and give the arrangement a chic look. Fabrics in this type of window arrangement (Roman blinds and drapes) can be combined in a subtle way, using both blackout materials and delicate transparent curtain fabrics.
How to hang curtains for a bay window?
A bay window is quite a distinctive window setting, which may seem difficult to arrange with textile decorations. However, with the possibilities of today’s curtain rod combinations or the right choice of decorative patterns and materials – elegant decoration of the bay window is not a problem.
Well, on what to hang a curtain, drape or blind in a bay window? We can take advantage of rails, curtain rods or mechanisms for blinds.
We mount the rails on the ceiling and connect them together, depending on the number of walls that make up the bay window and the angle at which the walls connect. If we do not want the rail to be visible we can hide it under the so-called cover. In other words, it is a masking strip, which creates an excellent effect, in addition to masking the rail, it gives the impression as if the curtains or drapes discreetly “come out” straight from the ceiling.
To decorate the window with curtains, you can also use the well-known bay window curtain rod. We mount it on the ceiling or wall above the window and connect it with connectors, which integrate the bay window curtain rod into a single unit. It is thanks to the adjustable connectors that it fits perfectly into the shape of bay window.
Another arrangement for a bay window is Roman blinds. To mount them, you need roller blind mechanisms that allow to lift and lower them, or Velcro tape if you choose to decorate your windows with decorative roller blinds, without the option to adjust the blind position.
